In addition, the Company also contracts with Gia Lai Urban Construction Joint Stock Company to collect household waste 3 times a week and contracts with Hau Sanh Natural Resources and Environment Company Limited (Binh Dinh) to collect the hazardous waste for treatment. In addition, according to Mr. Quan, Nafoods Tay Nguyen Joint Stock Company also focuses on building a plan to handle environmental incidents to promptly overcome when incidents occur. The company director added that immediately after the incident, the Environmental Police Department (Provincial Police) inspected and made a working record. According to the minutes, Nafoods Tay Nguyen Joint Stock Company made a decision, approving the Environmental Impact Assessment Report of the Provincial People’s Committee on March 4, 2019, and there were minutes of the appraisal council meeting for granting environmental licenses in June 2023. The company has built wastewater treatment works to serve the operational phase, has a contract for hazardous waste treatment, and has a license to exploit underground water. Besides, at the time of work, the wastewater treatment system was operating normally and was in the process of upgrading its capacity to 500m3/day and had legal documents on food safety.

Up to now, the business has temporarily stopped operations to fix the leaking ditches. At the same time, Nafoods has also built a domestic wastewater collection system and will soon put it into use. Enterprises will also stop gathering lemon seeds to limit the arising odors that affect the environment and supplement documents to be granted an environmental license according to regulations” – Mr. Quan stated the solution.
