General Director of Nafoods paid a working visit to the Netherlands

From December 8 to 12, 2019, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung – General Director of Nafoods paid a working visit to the Netherlands  join with Mr Nguyen Xuan Cuong – Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development to the Netherlands within the framework of the Strategic Cooperation Program on sustainable agriculture and food security, chaired by the Deputy Minister of the Netherlands Ministry of Agriculture.

The main purpose of the seminar was to assess the situation of implementing strategic cooperation on sustainable agriculture and food security between Vietnam and the Netherlands. In addition to this, the seminar also discusses the difficulties, obstacles and solutions to promote bilateral cooperation in Agriculture between the two countries.

It is assessed that the Netherlands was Vietnam’s leading partner in sharing experiences in development, water management and coping with the impacts of climate change. There have been many programs and projects supported by the Government and the Dutch people in areas such as biogas development, food safety improvement, adaptation and mitigation of impacts of climate change, logistics, resource management, etc.
Additionally, Leaders of the Ministry of Agriculture of both countries agreed on sharing and supporting climate change adaptive infrastructure in the agricultural sector to contribute to these areas: seafood, vegetables and rice.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung has recorded many important information, with the belief that this trip will help Nafooods to improve the operation, production and business plans in 2020 with appropriate orientations.
